Guests are always curious how we name our rooms. The Nautilus is our nod to Jules Verne. A prolific Victorian Era writer, Verne created such classics as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Around the World in 80 days. We honor his vision of travel and exploration by christening this room The Nautilus.
More spacious than Captain Nemo's high-tech submarine, but still snug, this room is our smallest space. Decorated in warm muted earth tones, brick floors, and draped four-post king bed. Two soft, over-stuffed chairs provide a great place for reading or good conversation.
The private bath sports granite counter tops and unique copper fixtures and sink. In the bedroom we left the unusual 1920's brass lighting fixture over the bed instead of adding a fan. We did remember your comfort and provided a box fan.
The Nautilus is located on the first floor of the Main Inn. A private, outside entrance accesses the deck seating area. Guests can sit on the deck with a cool beverage and listen to the garden fountain, or music from the Basin Park.
Please note: this is NOT a pet friendly room. Please consider the Rivendell or take a look at our other location, Lake Lucerne Resort and Ranch, https://historiccottages.com
