Jules Verne, a prolific Victorian Era writer, created classics such as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Around the World in 80 Days. Our nod to Mr. Verne and his ceaseless vision of travel and exploration, we have christened this room The Nautilus. Not quiet as eccentric nor as water tight as Captain Nemo's futuristic submarine, but we are pleased with it.

More spacious than Captain Nemo's high tech submarine, but still snug, this room is our smallest space. Muted earth tones, brick floors, a draped four-post bed. Two soft, over-stuffed chairs provided for reading or good conversation.

The private bath sports granite counter tops, unique copper sink and fixtures with a cultured granite shower. The unusual 1920's brass pendant lighting fixture won out over adding a ceiling fan (instead we have provided a box fan for comfort). A private, outside entrance accesses deck seating, where guests can enjoy a cool beverage listening to our garden fountain, or music from Basin Park.

(We strongly discourage the use of time pieces, and will only provide a clock upon stringent request).
